About KeDil
We have been teaching Italian language and culture for over twenty years, and after working for several private courses, we decided to create our own course: at first we proposed to teach only in the teacher's home, so that students could learn the language not only through lectures, but also by "living" the atmosphere of a typical Italian home. Then, with technological development and the Coronavirus pandemic, we began to specialize more and more in online teaching. Our students testified to us how convenient it can be to study online: no traffic, no parking problems, no being late, completely personalized management of work schedules, etc., and so we decided to offer our service exclusively online.
Why "KeDil"?
For many years our students have taken classes in the teacher's house where cats have always been present. Therefore, we thought of naming our course by combining our two passions and creating a play on words. Thus, we created KeDil by combining "kedi" (Turkish for "cat") and "dil" (Turkish for "language").
About Us
Denise
I was born in Bari, Puglia, where I completed my education, graduated in Italian language and culture and moved to Istanbul in 1994. For 16 years, I coordinated Italian courses in a language school and lectured at the Italian Cultural Center in Istanbul. In 2014, together with my brother we founded KeDil
Max
I was born in Bari, Puglia, Italy, where I studied foreign languages and literatures. I moved to Istanbul in 2001, and after teaching in several private schools, I moved to the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul, where I have been teaching for 13 years. In 2014, together with my sister we founded KeDil.
